Tarmac driveway servicesTarmac Driveways provides professional tarmac, asphalt and driveway surfacing services throughout Dundrum and South Dublin for residential and commercial properties.
From new driveway installations and resurfacing to repairs and decorative finishes, we can recommend the most suitable solution based on the existing ground, access, drainage and expected traffic.
Properties in Dundrum can include sloping entrances, mature gardens and driveways used for regular family parking. Good preparation, levels and water run-off are therefore important when planning a long-lasting driveway surface.
We undertake new driveways, resurfacing, repairs and decorative surfacing work for homes and businesses throughout Dundrum.

Tarmac driveway servicesAsphalt surfacing including SMA for driveways where a smooth, durable and close-textured finish is required.
Asphalt optionsExisting driveways can often be resurfaced when the underlying base remains stable and suitable for a new surface.
Resurfacing servicesOld concrete, damaged surfaces and weak areas can be removed or repaired before a new driveway specification is installed.
Tarmac repair adviceDecorative resin bound surfacing is also available for homeowners looking for an alternative colour and finish to traditional tarmac.
Resin bound drivewaysFor this Dundrum project, the existing concrete driveway was removed before a new base was installed and compacted in preparation for the finished surface.
The client selected SMA asphalt together with a natural silver Portuguese granite cobble-sett border. The contrast between the silver granite and dark asphalt created a clean, modern finish.
One row of granite cobbles was installed around the driveway perimeter, while four rows were used across the entrance to give the front of the property a stronger visual feature.
The project also included the construction of a new block wall and pillar, which were rendered to complete the refreshed frontage.
Tony and the Tarmac Driveways team undertake residential and commercial tarmac and asphalt projects throughout Dublin and the surrounding areas.
Existing ground conditions, driveway levels, drainage, vehicle use and the desired finish are all considered before recommending the most appropriate preparation and surfacing specification.
“I have over 20 years experience in tarmac and asphalt driveway installations. My team and I make sure every job is completed to the highest standard.”
The cost of a driveway depends on the size of the area, existing ground conditions, access, preparation, drainage and the type of tarmac, asphalt or decorative finish selected.
Additional work such as removing an old concrete driveway, installing granite borders, building walls or improving drainage will also affect the overall project price.
As well as Dundrum, our team undertakes driveway and surfacing projects throughout South Dublin and the wider Dublin area.
